PR Home Scents all started with a passion for creating high-quality, luxurious candles that are as beautiful as they are eco-friendly. It began when I bought a candle-making kit from Candle Science. However, it took me a whole month to gather the courage to actually use it. I spent hours watching YouTube videos, learning all I could, until I finally felt confident enough to give it a try. My first batch was made in my kitchen using the double boiler method. I was so careful, trying not to make a mess!

As I grew more comfortable, I moved into our front spare bedroom, bought a melting pot with a spout, and invested in other accessories to simplify the process. But I quickly outgrew that space, too! That's when my husband made room in our unfinished basement for my very own candle-making studio and added lighting to help set the mood. Now, I have a wonderful, spacious area—roughly 15 x 22 feet—where I can pour, craft, and create to my heart’s content.

I started by posting my candles online, not realizing it was the beginning of a business. Then, a friend of mine asked if I would sell my candles at her shop! With a nudge from her, PR Home Scents was born, and I’ve loved every step of the journey since. Now that I’ve retired from my 35-year career, I finally have the time to truly focus on creating the candles I love and sharing them with the world.

From these humble beginnings in Parker, Colorado, PR Home Scents has grown into a business dedicated to handcrafting non-toxic, all-natural soy wax candles in small batches, ensuring each one meets the highest standards of quality. We’re proud to offer candles that not only make the perfect gift but also bring an eco-friendly touch to every home.
