Lone Star Candle Supply - Fragrance Haul (Video & Blog Post)

Lone Star Candle Supply - Fragrance Haul (Video & Blog Post)

Two weeks ago I went fragrance shopping at Lone Star Candle Supply in Keller, Texas. Look what I purchased...

If you’re a candle maker like me or simply a fragrance lover, you know the importance of selecting the right scents for your candles. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Lone Star Candle Supply, a treasure trove for all things related to candle-making, located in Keller, Texas. I took a deep dive into their collection of fragrances and supplies, and let me tell you, it was an experience!

I also captured the journey on video to give you a closer look at my haul. But today, I want to take you through some of the highlights of my visit and share my thoughts on why fragrance selection, especially when it comes to phthalate-free options, is so crucial.

A Candle Maker’s Dream

From the moment I walked into Lone Star Candle Supply, I was in my element. This beautiful place is filled with everything you need to make high-quality candles, from waxes and wicks to dyes and fragrances. It’s every candle maker’s dream, whether you’re just starting or a seasoned pro.

However, what really caught my attention during this trip was the wide range of fragrances they offer. With so many scents to choose from, I felt like a kid in a candy store—seriously, it was hard to narrow down which ones to pick! But there was something I kept in mind throughout my browsing: phthalate-free fragrances.

Why Phthalate-Free Fragrances Matter

You may have heard a lot of buzz about phthalates in recent years, and for good reason. Phthalates are chemicals often used to make fragrances last longer in products like candles, perfumes, and cleaning supplies. Unfortunately, these chemicals have been linked to potential hormone disruption and health concerns, particularly when inhaled over long periods of time.

As someone who values both quality and safety, I’m very particular about the fragrances I use in my candles. The idea of breathing in something that could disrupt my body’s natural processes isn’t something I take lightly. When I’m selecting fragrances, phthalate-free is a must. This is why it was such a relief to find that Lone Star Candle Supply offers a variety of fragrances that are free of phthalates, which is important not only for health reasons but also for creating a cleaner, more natural atmosphere in my home.

The Fragrance Haul

I’m excited to share the fragrances I ended up purchasing. After careful consideration, I selected 11 different scents that I think will be perfect for creating a variety of candle styles. Here’s a sneak peek at what I grabbed:

  1. Lily of the Valley
  2. Vanilla Cotton
  3. Leather
  4. Western Lace
  5. Fresh Baked Bread
  6. Wild Lavender & Sage (my best selling candle right now!)
  7. Pistachio Latte
  8. Pomegranate Lemonade
  9. Honey
  10. White Tea & Ginger
  11. Baccarat Rouge 540

I took the time to smell each fragrance and ensure that they fit the profile I was looking for in my candles. They all passed the sniff test with flying colors!

In addition to the fragrances, I also picked up a few other candle-making essentials:

  • Candle Dyes – To add some color to my creations.
  • Candle Wicks - for the You're Like Really Pretty candle
  • Candle Whitening Powder – To make my candles a clean, bright white, especially when I’m looking to create that classic, elegant look.

Why I Love Supporting Local Businesses

What made the experience even more enjoyable was the warm, welcoming atmosphere at Lone Star Candle Supply. It’s a locally-owned business, and you can really tell they care about their customers and the quality of the products they provide. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, and I got to sit down and really play with different supplies and fragrances to see what worked best for me. It felt like a personalized shopping experience, which I truly appreciate.
